ALCALA, Cagayan – Three farmers drowned while fishing on the Cagayan River here on All Saints’ Day, Nov. 1.
The Task Force Lingkod Cagayan (TFLC) identified the victims as Felipe Pulido, 54, his son, Jonathan, 30, and Renato Tabarejo. 54.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the victims went fishing at 3 p.m.
They failed to return and their families reported them missing.
Authorities searched for the victims until the Pulidos were found on Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, and Tabarejo in the afternoon.
The victims were allegedly drunk when they proceeded to the river.
