Upson remains PH's largest retailer of PC and IT products

Upson International Corp. (“Upson” or “Company”), based on an updated industry study by the Center for Research and communication, remains to be the largest retailer of personal computers (PC) and information technology (IT) products in the Philippines. The study was based on total revenues as well as number of outlets of several similarly classified retailers. Upson currently has a combined branch network of 200 retail and

concept stores, including Octagon Computer Superstore, Micro Valley, Gadget King and Octagon Mobile as of September 30, 2022.

The Company’s branch network offers the widest variety of international brands of PC and IT products. These include exclusivity on selected PC models and IT products, as well.

Among its 13,000 product offerings are global PC brands such as Acer, Asus, Avita, Dell, HP, Huawei, and Lenovo. Printer brands include Brother, Canon, Epson, and HP while other IT brands include D-Link, Kingston, Logitech, Microsoft, Samsung, Sandisk, Seagate, Sony, and Transcend, among others.

Octagon Computer Superstore is Upson’s flagship brand that offers a complete line and assortment of hardware and software products that span across nine major product categories namely 1) PCs, 2) printers, 3) communication, 4) storage, 5) networking, 6) peripherals, 7) components, 8) accessories, and 9) software. 

Micro Valley, on the other hand, provides for customization of PCs and components, as well as to afficionados of a growing gaming market. This comes with the added assembly services that supplement the customization needs of every customer.

Upson’s other retail brand, Gadget King. specializes in IT accessories and peripherals.

Another specialty store category is Octagon Mobile which specializes in communication devices, offering multiple mobile brands such as Apple, Huawei, Oppo, Realme, Samsung, Vivo, and Xiaomi.

Lastly, since 2021, Upson opened concept stores which are specialty stores dedicated to single brands of PCs, printers, and other IT accessories. To date, these include concept stores for Acer, HP, Brother and Silvertec (other IT accessories).
