PRC to hold in-person oathtaking for new optometrists, special certification in ocular pharmacology passers

The face-to-face oathtaking ceremony for New Optometrists and Passers of the Special Certification in Ocular Pharmacology will be on Dec. 4, 1 p.m. to be held at the Meeting Room 1 of the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.

This was announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

"All successful examinees who are interested to attend the face-to-face mass oathtaking shall register not later than 12:00 NN of the day prior to the date of the oathtaking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance," PRC added.

Inductees were advised to bring either a Covid-19 vaccination card or negative RT-PCR results taken within 48 hours before the oathtaking.

The commission also said that attendees need to register and confirm their attendance in the region where they took their exam and intend to register as professionals.

Meanwhile, those who will not be able to attend the in-person ceremony may attend the online oathtaking or request a special oathtaking.

"After the oathtaking, inductees shall proceed with their Initial Registration by securing an online appointment at http://online.prc.gov.ph on December 9 and 12 â€“ 13, 2022.

"For more information on the oathtaking proper, please contact 0943-4798500," PRC said.
