PCSO said in a Facebook post that the check was personally received by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna.

The amount represents a portion of the city's total revenue from lotto and small-town lottery (STL) games.

PCSO also noted in the post that LGUs will likely receive bigger lotto and STL shares as the number of lotto outlets in their respective areas increases.

Last Nov. 24, PCSO also turned over a lotto and STL shares worth P11.7 million to 27 LGUs in the Visayas region.

This initiative was in compliance with PCSO’s mandate of allocating 30 percent of its income to charity services.

Meanwhile, 55 percent of the agency’s income is set aside for game prizes and the remaining 15 percent is for operations.
