Just Music celebrates OPM with no-frills Just Music Fest and forges new partnerships with Wave 89.1 and Ingrooves

Just Music Philippines, a fast-growing independent record label, successfully held its Just Music Fest at the Ayala Malls TriNoma in Quezon City last Sunday, Nov. 27.

The Just Music Fest lineup included singers Pau Dimaranan, Kim Macaraig, Myca Capili, Kit Inciong; and Just Music recording artists kenji, NKO (read as “Nikko”), Claudine Co, MC Einstein, I Belong to the Zoo, and TJ Monterde. 

The first four singers performed renditions with Pau singing “Huling El Bimbo” by The Eraserheads, Kim singing “Sorry Na, Pwede Ba” by Rico J. Puno, Myca singing “Binalewala” by Michael Dutchi Libranda, and Kit singing “Nasa Puso” by Janine Berdin.

kenji, Claudine Co, and NKO performed some of their original songs released under Just Music with Claudine singing a soon-to-be released song entitled “Giliw” made in collaboration with Yeng Constantino. 

MC Einstein, I Belong to the Zoo, and TJ Monterde serenaded the huge Trinoma crowd with their heartfelt tunes such as “Kilig”, “Sana”, and “Sigurado” respectively. It was the first time that TJ sang “Sigurado” (his completed wedding vow for KZ Tandingan) in public, and with KZ herself in the crowd, TJ’s fans screamed their hearts out.

During the event, Just Music Philippines has made public their partnership with Wave 89.1 With Wave 89.1, Just Music Philippines will be premiering “Just Music Radio on Wave 89.1” this Nov. 30, (Wednesday) with the first episode airing 12 nn-1 pm. Succeeding episodes will air on Fridays 7-8 pm and Wednesdays 12 nn-1pm. The Just Music Radio show will be hosted by Alex Diaz and will feature original Pinoy songs from various genres and artists.

The indie label has also made public their partnership with Ingrooves (an independent music aggregator under the Universal Music Group). With the new partnership, Just Music Philippines will be able to bring the original music of established and up-and-coming singer-songwriters to more audiences locally and internationally.

Just Music is an independent record label under Cornerstone Entertainment which focuses on honing and giving a platform for talented and aspiring Filipino singer-songwriters.
