Woman injured in QC fire

A woman was injured during a fire that hit a residential area at the corner of Capoas and Toktokan Streets in Barangay Masambong, Quezon City on Monday, Nov. 28, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said the victim, Rosabel Lita, sustained a laceration on her right foot while running to get out of her house during the blaze.

According to the BFP, the fire started at around 1:15 p.m. on Capoas St. and was placed under control at 1:45 p.m. It was extinguished at 2:21 p.m.

Based on the initial investigation, the fire started in a mini market and burned over 40 stores.

BFP said the fire immediately spread to the neighboring residential area.

The BFP is yet to determine the number of affected houses.

Probers are still investigating the cause of fire.
