2 suspects nabbed in Biñan for loose firearms


BIÑAN CITY, Laguna – Authorities arrested two suspects for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in two search warrant operations in Barangay Langkiwa on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Biñan City Police Station (CPS) operatives arrested alias Ruben and confiscated from his possession a .38 caliber firearm and several bullets.

In a separate operation in the same barangay, operatives arrested alias Romeo. Authorities seized one improvised shotgun and three 12-gauge bullets from him.

Both suspects are now under the custody of Biñan CPS.

In a statement, Laguna Police Provincial Officer-in-Charge Col. Randy Glenn G. Silvio said they will continue their operations against loose firearms as these pose danger to citizens and can be used in the commission of crimes.
