ITOGON, Benguet – Some 117 students received gifts from members of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera Officer’s Ladies Club during their outreach activity at Bethesda Ministries International in Barangay Tuding, Itogon, Benguet on Nov. 25.
With the theme “To Reach Out and Serve,” the outreach activity was initiated by the OLC for National Children’s Month this November.
The activity was conducted in partnership with the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO), Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD), Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Division (RICTMD), Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), Regional Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (RPCADU), and Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP)-Itogon.
The OLC headed by Myles Bazar, wife of PRO-Cordillera director Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, distributed school supplies and hygiene kits as love gifts to students of Bethesda Ministries International. Also, they distributed blankets to the faculty and staff of the institution.
Parlor games were conducted by the OLC and free haircut was provided by participating policemen.
Lectures regarding anti-bullying, proper hygiene, and children's rights and responsibilities were delivered by the police while the BFP-Itogon facilitated an earthquake and fire safety drill.
The program ended with a feeding activity led by the OLC.
