BAGUIO CITY – Three barangays here have recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases, the City Health Services Office reported.
Dr. Celia Flor Brillantes, assistant city health officer, said that as of Nov. 19, Barangay Irisan which has the largest population in the Summer Capital has recorded 3,243 cases of Covid-19, followed by Camp 7 with 2,244 and Loakan Proper with 1,973.
Brillantes added that Barangay Irisan also has the highest number of overall deaths due to Covid-19 76, followed by Bakakeng Central and Loakan Proper barangays with 34 and 33 deaths, respectively.
The city remains at low risk (level 1) Covid-19 status as of Nov. 22, with a decrease in its positivity rate from 24.9 to 21.53 percent and a massive drop in its two-week growth rate from 41 percent to negative seven percent.
A slight improvement in the city’s average daily attack rate was also recorded from 6/100,000 to 5.6/100,000 and weekly infection growth rate from 1.14 to 0.96.
During the two-week span, Brillantes said the city has increased its average daily RTPCR testing from 115 to 121 while its health care utilization rate dipped from 30.87 to 30.08 (114/379) and average weekly isolation facility bed occupancy decreased from 5.88 percent to five percent.
Brillantes also reported that the Omicron remains the major concern as it is causing 70 percent of infections.
She said the Delta variant causes 17 percent of Covid-19 infections; Alpha, nine percent; and Beta variant four percent of the local population, so far.
