Suspect in robbery in band in Cagayan arrested in Kalinga


TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- One of the suspects in a robbery in band that occurred in Cagayan was arrested in Bulanao Norte in this city on Thursday, Nov. 24.

The arrested suspect was identified as Shad Lugay Dimara alias ‘Chad,’ 36, a resident of Bulanao Norte, Tabuk City and a drug personality listed as a high value individual.

According to BGen. Mafelino Bazar, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, Dimara was found to be one of the suspects in robbery at San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, on Nov. 19.

Bazar said the personnel of the Tuguegarao City Police Station coordinated with the Tabuk City Police Station and conducted a manhunt operation until the suspect was identified in his hiding place.

Recovered from the suspect were two plastic sachets of shabu weighing six grams with a standard drug price of P40,800; one unit of sub-machine gun Cal. 9mm with markings intratec, Miami, FL; 9mm luger with magazine loaded with 16 ammunition; one magazine loaded with 26 ammunition; one (1) empty magazine for Caliber 9mm; seven 9mm ammunition; two pieces of cal. 45 ammunition.

The police also found assorted identification cards and Land Bank ATM cards; three pieces of assorted gun suppressors; two passbooks of Bibak Multi-Purpose Cooperative; assorted jewelry; melted jewelry; one Yamaha aerox motorcycle color black without plate number, cash money and drug paraphernalia.
