Missing boy fished out of river in Cagayan

BUGUEY, Cagayan – The body of a three-year-old boy was found floating on a river here on Saturday, Nov. 26.

The child was identified as Prince Arvin Tatad, a resident of this town.

Sheena Talla of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said Tatad’s mother reported to their office that his son is missing last Friday. The boy’s mother suspected that her son fell into the river.

A search and rescue operation was mounted until Tatad was found on the river by two fishermen the next day.

The boy was accompanying his grandfather at the market when he went missing.

A relative told police that the grandfather left the boy sitting on the riverbank and wasn’t there when he returned.
