Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) will collect adjusted toll rates at the Manila–Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) effective Sunday, Nov. 27.
The Toll Regulatory Board TRB) has already issued the Notice to Start Collection to the tollway operator and its joint venture partner, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA).
Effective 12:01AM of November 27, 2022, Sunday, motorists passing through CAVITEX C5 Link (Segment 1: Taguig to Merville and Segment 3.2: Merville to E. Rodriguez) will pay the provisional toll rate of P35.00 for Class 1, P69.00 for Class 2 , and P104.00 for Class 3 motorists.
Segment 3.2, otherwise known as CAVITEX C5 Link flyover extension, opened to the motoring public last August 14, 2022.
The segment extended the length of the operational segment of the expressway by 1.6km, allowing more convenient access and improved travel time bound to C5 Road in Taguig from Merville, Parañaque, and vice versa.
Aside from introducing new traffic schemes in the area to manage traffic flow, the CAVITEX management also opened a new Merville Exit Ramp last October to cater to Merville-direction bound motorists.
The whole CAVITEX C5 Link will span a total of 7.7km and connect to CAVITEX in 2023.
The expressway reduces travel time by thirty to forty-five minutes for motorists traveling from CAVITEX to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay (vice versa).
It also helps decongest major thoroughfares such as EDSA and MIA Road.
