CEBU CITY – Suspected shabu worth P7.5 million was seized in two separate buy-bust operations here on Thursday night, Nov. 24.
In Barangay Buhisan, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit seized 700 grams of shabu with an estimated amount of P4.7 million from four suspected drug pushers – Joselito Tabalino, 38; Charles Bacalla, 28; Danny Montemor, 19; and Maximo Montemor Jr., 33.
Maximo is an uncle of Danny, police said.
Two hours after the buy-bust operation in Barangay Buhisan, 405 grams of shabu worth P2.7 million were seized by personnel of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) in Barangay San
Nicolas from two suspected drug pushers, Reymundo Olasco, 28, and Glanes Agusto, 26.
Lt. Col. Allan Madrid Rasario, chief of CIU, said Olasco was listed as a high-value individual for being able to sell 500 grams to one kilo of shabu a month.
Olasco was under surveillance for three weeks before he was arrested.
His name popped up in previous anti-illegal drug operations, Rosario said.
"We already have the information as to where he got his supply of illegal drugs and this is already being verified," said Rosario.
