Rainy weather persists as ITCZ affects Eastern Visayas, parts of Mindanao

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ)—an area where winds from the northern and southern hemispheres meet—may bring scattered light to heavy rains over parts of Visayas and Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Nov. 24.
PAGASA advised those in Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Davao Oriental to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The public is also advised to be vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, which are often accompanied by sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusts of wind, and sometimes hail.
Moreover, no gale warnings were raised on the country's seaboards on Thursday, as the extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate seas, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate seas.
Small boats and other sea vessels are safe to sail.
