Las Piñas LGU extends help to fire victims

The local government of Las Piñas City extended assistance to 80 families who lost homes to a fire that occurred at Julius Compound in Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno on Nov. 18.

Vice-Mayor April Aguilar visited the fire victims staying at Mapayapa Village covered court and gave them family food packs, mats and blankets, and hygiene kits.

According to the Department Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) office in the city, 80 families involving 350 individuals were served with hot meals from breakfast, lunch to dinner.

Aguilar said that based on the report of the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the fire damage was pegged at P125,000.
