200 Pasig beneficiaries to get cash cards from DSWD

Published Nov 24, 2022 01:31 pm

Two hundred beneficiaries of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)'s unconditional cash transfer (UCT) program in Pasig City will be receiving their cash cards on Friday, Nov. 25.

According to the list released by the Pasig Public Information Office (PIO), four beneficiaries are from Barangay Bagong Ilog, four from Bambang, 12 from Buting, 15 from Caniogan, seven from Dela Paz, two from Kalawaan, one from Kapitolyo, three from Malinao, nine from Manggahan, one from Maybunga, 12 from Palatiw, 46 from Pinagbuhatan, seven from Pineda, two from Rosario, three from Sagad, four from San Antonio, two from San Joaquin, 21 from San Miguel, six from Sta. Cruz, one from Sta. Lucia, 16 from Sto. Tomas, 20 from Santolan, and two from Sumilang.

The distribution will be held at the Bahay Aruga building located in Caruncho Avenue, Barangay San Nicolas, Pasig City from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Only the beneficiaries included in the list will get the cash cards on Friday. The beneficiaries who are not included in the list are advised to wait for the next distribution schedules from the DSWD.

The list of beneficiaries was based on the second round of assessments done in 2015, wherein door-to-door verification and enumeration of individuals belonging to the program were conducted.

Eligible claimants must bring their UCT form, the original and two photocopies of their government-issued ID (scanned back-to-back and each photocopy signed three times), a 2 x 2 picture, and a ballpen.

The actual verified beneficiary whose name is on the list is required to claim his/her cash cards as claiming through an authorized representative is not allowed.

Family members of beneficiaries who are currently in prison, abroad, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), or in the province are discouraged to go to the distribution site as they will not be accommodated.

The UCT is a program of the national government, spearheaded by the DSWD, that aims to give financial assistance to the poorest of the poor and other vulnerable sectors in society.

Officials of the DSWD thoroughly assess beneficiaries before admittance to the program, taking into account their way of life or standard of living, livelihood, shelter, location of residence, type of house (made of light materials or concrete), and reliance on parents or other adults, among others.

The Pasig local government aids the DSWD by setting up distribution sites for local beneficiaries.

It also provides financial aid to those who are not covered or eligible for the DSWD programs.
