Love is in the air. This can be felt easily when one is around the multi-talented Julie Anne San Jose and the dancing heartthrob Rayver Cruz. They touch each other with affection, look into each other's eyes at the same time while in conversation, laugh at jokes in unison like one is an extension of the other.
Are they in love? Fans will surely find out the undeniable chemistry between the two as they mount their first concert together dubbed "JulieVerse" at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on Nov. 26. Julie Anne and Rayver promise to take their audience to another universe as they sing duets, dance in tandem, play instruments together and do more of what makes them the love team to beat in terms of sheer talent.
Julie Anne and Rayver both admit that they became close and really got to know each other when they performed together in Part 2 and 3 of Julie Anne's award-winning special, namely Limitless: A Musical Trilogy: "Heal" and Limitless: A Musical Trilogy: "Rise." Prior to this, they were also tapped as artists in Studio 7, the Clash and All-Out Sundays.
GMA Network executives agreed that Rayver was the one that "truly complemented Julie's talent and personality" and thus, JulieVer was born.
Julie Anne revealed what the fans and audience can expect from JulieVerse, the concert: "You will be seeing more of us together. Kung sa Limitless kasi mas maraming mga solo numbers; this time mas marami kaming mga numbers together."
Rayver agreed with his partner. "Yes mas exciting ang concert ngayon na JulieVerse because of our collab performances and of course meron din with our special guests, Mavy (Legaspi) and Kyline (Alcantara). And am really, really excited about this kasi alam naman ng lahat na she brings out the best in me. Pag kasama ko si Julie, mas gumagaling ako. Pinaghandaan naming mabuti ang mga performances na gagawin namin at doble ang kilig."
The "kilig" factor definitely comes in when the two are asked about the real status of their relationship.
Julie Anne replied: " Ang status ng puso ko sobrang saya. I am in a very good place right now."
"Hindi mahirap magustuhan si Ray kasi napakabuti nyang tao. Napakabait at ma-respeto sa magulang. Nasa kanya na ang lahat ng qualities ng ideal guy. Grateful ako na dumating si Ray sa buhay ko kasi am also growing with him," she added.
Rayver intimated that he is still courting his Maria Clara. "Mas ginagalingan ko ang panliligaw ko kay Jules (his nickname for Julie). Pero yung mindset ko alam ko na that she's the one for me. Hindi naman kailangang madaliin. Alam namin na special kami sa bawat isa. Pag mahal mo naman ang isang tao, maghihintay ka kahit gaano katagal."
Performance-wise, the two have each other's back. Rayver said that before he just focused his career on dancing. But now, he credits Julie Anne for making him realize his dormant talents in singing and playing the guitar.
"Ang dami kong nakita kay Ray na mga skills at talents na parang hindi alam ng mga tao pero dito sa Julieverse nila makikita. Nakaka-proud," Julie said of her partner.
