Buboy Villar portrays nurse's pandemic journey in 'Ang Kwento Ni Makoy'

Known for his funny side and short pick-up jokes, Buboy Villar released all his emotions in his new film "Ang Kwento ni Makoy".

“Ang Kwento ni Makoy” highlights the story of an optimistic and compassionate nurse who is eager to lend a helping hand despite the struggles brought on by the surge of the coronavirus.

During the special screening and press conference held in Quezon City recently, Buboy shared how he could relate to the role of Makoy.

"Actually meron kaming similarities ni Makoy na parang gusto ko mapasaya kayong lahat, gusto ko maibigay yung nararapat para sa inyo, gawin ang trabaho ko. I mean si Makoy ganun din siya ang sa kanya lang too much yung pag gawa niya. Kaya mahal na mahal ko si Makoy," he said.

(Actually, me and makoy have similarities in a way that I want everyone to be happy and give everyone what they deserve by doing my job. I mean Makoy is the same but he gives way too much, that's why I love Makoy so much)

Bella Thompson

Aside from Buboy, his co-star and the leading lady in the film Bella Thompson mentioned how it is working with him on set.

"Very grateful ako na kasama ko dito sa Buboy, kasi tinutulungan niya ako when it comes to acting," Bella shared.
