SK chair in Pangasinan involved in illegal drugs surrenders


ROSALES, Pangasinan – A 25-year-old Sangguniang Kabataan chairman here involved in the illegal drugs trade surrendered to the police on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

“Antonio” surrendered through the Kasimbayanan or Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan program of the Philippine National Police with the assistance of two religious pastors.

A report from Col. Jeff Fanged, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan police, said the suspect, a Top 10 priority high-value individual drug personality in this province, personally appeared at the police station and signed an affidavit of undertaking stating that he was a drug user.

The suspect pledged to cease any illegal drug activity and promised to actively cooperate and participate with the government in the prevention of illegal drugs.

After proper documentation, suspect was turned over to Barangay Captain Ferdinand Baraceros.

Under Kasimbayanan, volunteer church leaders help the police nurture its relationship with the community.
