BACOLOD CITY – An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was arrested and yielded suspected shabu weighing 16 grams valued at P108,800 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Monday, Nov. 21.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental identified the suspect as 38-year-old Aphrodite Song of Barangay Enclaro.
The PDEA said they received a report from the ‘’Isumbong mo sa PDEA!’’ hotline regarding Song’s alleged illegal drug activities a month after she returned home last March.
She was placed under monitoring for one month.
PDEA said Song’s Korean husband knew that his wife had been using illegal drugs. However, he did not know that his wife was also selling the contraband.
Song was arrested in Malaysia twice for allegedly using party drugs, the PDEA said. However, the PDEA did not know how she was released.
Her illegal drugs supply reportedly came from the neighboring town of Hinigaran, according to PDEA.
She will be charged for sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs. She is detained at Binalbagan Municipal Police Station.
Isumbong mo sa PDEA is a platform where the public can send tips via text message and social media to alert the agency on illegal drug activities in their localities.
