Inspection of firecracker manufacturers in Central Luzon ordered

Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen has ordered the random inspection of fireworks manufacturers and dealers in Central Luzon following a recent explosion in a fireworks factory in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

Pasiwen said that the Philippine National Police has coordinated with local government units to ensure compliance with requirements prior to the issuance of permits to manufacturers and dealers of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices.

This, he said, is to avoid mishaps in fireworks manufacturing sites and prevent injuries as well as casualties to workers.

“We will also conduct on-site inspection and confiscation of prohibited firecrackers in public markets, at the same time, we continuously appeal to everyone to refrain from using illegal firecrackers to avoid any injuries,” Pasiwen said.
