A fiesta celebration will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Clement in Angono, Rizal, in solemn commemoration of the Feast of Saint Clement (San Clemente), the patron saint of fishermen.

Feast masses will be celebrated at the church which had declared a diocesan shrine in August last year.
Novena masses were held from Nov. 14 to 22. A band parade that will culminate at the church will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 8:30 a.m.
San Clemente was considered the first Apostolic Father of the Church, one of the three chief ones together with Polycarp and Ignatius of Antioch. Few details are known about his life. San Clemente was the author of the Letter to the Corinthians.
Born in Rome, Italy, he lived during the time of Jesus Christ’s apostles and was ordained bishop by Saint Peter himself. He was elected as the fourth pope of the Roman Catholic Church in the year 91 and served as head of the Church until his martyrdom in the year 101.
