EAC squeaks past Arellano in OT, ends NCAA campaign on a high note
Emilio Aguinaldo College squeaked past Arellano in overtime, 63-62, to end its NCAA Season 98 men’s basketball campaign on a high note at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The Generals outscored the Chiefs in the extra period, 9-8, and banked on two charities from JP Maguliano to keep the lead at 63-60 with 1:30 left.
A driving layup from Axel Doromal with 40.5 ticks to go cut the deficit to one, but the Chiefs ran out of time against the stifling defense of the Generals.
Maguliano fired 18 points and hauled six rebounds while Nat Cosejo contributed with a double-double performance of 14 points and 14 boards to pace EAC, which finished the season with three wins against 15 losses.
Credit is also due to Adrian Balowa, who sank a booming trey with 3.8 seconds in the regulation that sent the game into overtime.
Balowa finished with 12 points and eight boards.
Ralph Bajon also led the way for the Generals with 12 points even as JC Luciano collared 12 rebounds and dished off four assists.
Arellano failed to capitalize its quick 57-56 lead in the extra period with 4:09 left as EAC surged ahead with Bajoin delivering a three-point play to grab the 59-57 advantage.
From then on, the Chiefs slowly lost their steam and ended up finishing the season with seven wins against 11 defeats.
Doromal fired a career-high 25 points and grabbed six boards that went for naught.
