Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro visited the students who were part of the “Brigada Pagbasa,” a program that aims to enhance the children’s reading skills and address literacy gap, at the San Rafael Elementary School in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on Monday, Nov. 21.
Castro received a warm welcome from teachers and young students upon his arrival at the school.
The vice governor urged parents to give their children an interesting book with a theme that could inspire and is enjoyable while they are reading.
Castro urged the children to keep reading as it is a bridge of wisdom that could help them discover new points and educate themselves in any section of society.
The Bulacan vice governor explained to young students about the movement of the Brigada Pagbasa aiming to enhance their reading skills.
Castro likewise urged the parents to support the young students on their goals and help them become independent children.
