BDO Foundation aids ‘Paeng’ victims


In response to the devastation from tropical cyclone ‘’Paeng,’’ the BDO Foundation immediately mounted relief operations for thousands of Filipinos affected by the storm.

The corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank mobilized volunteers from partner parishes and social welfare offices of local governments for the distribution of relief packs containing food, rice, and drinking water in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Cotabato, Maguindanao, and Zamboanga.

A total of 16,500 families displaced by flashfloods and landslides benefited.

Made possible with the support of officials of BDO and BDO Network Bank branches, the relief operations were the latest conducted by BDO Foundation in line with its disaster response advocacy.

BENEFICIARIES receive relief packs containing food, rice, and drinking water.

The foundation also provided relief goods to beneficiaries of tropical cyclones ‘’Karding’’ and ‘’Neneng’’ as well as the earthquakes in Abra and Ilocos Sur.
