6 suspects yield P346,000 shabu in Taguig 


The police seized P346,120 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from six people in Taguig on Nov. 21 and 22.

Southern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft said the six individuals were nabbed in buy-bust and anti-criminality operations conducted by the Taguig police and SPD operatives.

On Nov. 21, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) operatives from the Taguig police conducted a buy-bust operation along EP Housing, Phase I, Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig and arrested Juanito Dita Jr., 37, and Rosendo Privado II, 35.

The operation yielded seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 7.2 grams with a value of P48,960 and two P100 bills used as buy-bust money.

A separate operation by the SPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit on Nov. 21 along Bagong Silang Street, Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig led to the arrest of Jay-R Delos Santos, 31, and Delia San Pedro, 49.

They seized five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total weight of 31 grams and value of P210,800 and P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, the Taguig police’s DEU operatives arrested Linda Palacio, 60, and Rodel dela Cruz, 25, in an operation along Gulaman Street, Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City on Nov. 21.

They were able to seize seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 12.7 grams valued at P86,360 and two P100 bills used as buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects are detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
