10 people arrested for shabu in Taguig, Muntinlupa

The Taguig and Muntinlupa police arrested 10 persons including a 65-year-old man for possession of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in operations on Nov. 19 and 20.

Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, Southern Police District (SPD) chief, said the suspects were arrested in anti-criminality and buy-bust operations.

Taguig

On Nov. 19, the Taguig police’s Substation 4 arrested Jaime Santos, 65, and Cherrilou Ogoshi, 41 along Kalayaan Street, Barangay Ususan.

Confiscated from them were one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu 0.5 gram with a value of P3,400, one improvised aluminum foil tooter, one aluminum foil with residue of suspected shabu, and two blue and violet lighters with extended aluminum foil.

Personnel from the Taguig police’s Substation 6 arrested Michael Kevin Potesdades, 29, construction worker, and Juzter Rosales, 31, construction worker, along Pagasa Street, Barangay Katuparan, Taguig.

Confiscated from them were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu approximately weighing 0.38 grams valued at P2,584.

Meanwhile, personnel from the Taguig police’s Substation 7 held an “Oplan Galugad” along Jolo Street in Barangay Maharlika Village on Nov. 20 and saw Ariel Augusto, 36, in alleged possession of one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 2.3 grams with a value of P15,640.

The Taguig Substation 10 arrested Marivic Eje, 31, along Bagong Calzada Street, Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig Nov. 20. Seized were six plastic sachets with suspected shabu weighing 2.3 grams with a value of P15,640.

Muntinlupa

On Nov. 19, the Muntinlupa police’s Ayala Alabang Substation conducted an anti-criminality operation that led to the arrest of Rolando Bacong, 46 in Sitio Masagana, Barangay Alabang

Seized were two plastic sachets containing 1.5 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P10,200.

The Alabang Substation, meanwhile, arrested Jovanie Eboña, 27, at Old City Terminal in Barangay Alabang. Recovered from his possession were one plastic sachet containing 0.3 gram of suspected shabu with a value of P2,040.

In Barangay Poblacion, the Muntinlupa police arrested Luisito Sta Maria, 50, and Dominador Ferrer III, 45, in PNR Site. The police seized two plastic sachets containing 0.6 gram of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P4,080.

The Taguig and Muntinlupa police will file complaints against the arrested suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The illegal drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
