10 drug personalities arrested in week-long operations in Cordillera


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet -- Ten drug personalities were arrested during the Police Regional Office-Cordillera’s anti-illegal drugs operation conducted from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19.

Based on the records from the PROCOR's Regional Operations Division (ROD) for the week, Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) has arrested six drug personalities while Baguio City Police Office (CPO) two drug personalities. Abra PPO and Mt. Province PPO have arrested one drug personality each.

In Benguet, the arrested drug personalities were identified as Mark Sanchez, 38; Jay Anne Alindayo, 29; Larry Jay Moyano, 25; Randy Galuzo, 33; Darwin Aluyen, 23; and Rowel Compas, 33.

The arrested drug personalities in Baguio City were Ferlinda Fernandez, 50, and Jose Casauay Jr., 40.

Klemburg Geronilla, 41, was arrested in Mt. Province and Rolly Siobal, 40, was arrested in Abra.

The weeklong anti-illegal drugs operation conducted has resulted in the seizure of a total of 16.32 grams of shabu with an overall Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P110,976.

All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violating R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

In a separate anti-illegal drug operation in Benguet, nine marijuana plantation sites were discovered in the municipalities of Kibungan, Kapangan, and Bakun.

The operatives of Benguet PPO found 24,310 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of P4,862,000.

The marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site by the operatives while investigations are ongoing to identify possible cultivators of the said marijuana plantation sites.
