Robin, DSWD extend help to residents affected by 'Paeng' floods in Zambales, Mindanao

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in coordination with Senator Robinhood "Robin" C. Padilla, extended assistance over the weekend to residents in Mindanao who were affected by floods brought by severe storm "Paeng."

DSWD staff and representatives from Padilla's Senate office gave P5,000 each to 1,962 beneficiaries in Zamboanga City, Patikul (Sulu), and Bongao (Tawi-Tawi).

Among those who received aid were 948 from Zamboanga City last Nov. 15 (P4.74 milyon); 645 from Patikul, Sulu last Nov. 17 (P3.225 milyon); and 369 from Bongao (Tawi-Tawi) last Nov. 18 (P1.845 milyon).

The team from Padilla's office included Christine Joy Borbon, Mary Antonette Mendiola, and Rasul Domado.

Padilla, who also held a similar relief operation with Senator Christopher ‘’Bong’’ Go last Nov. 15 in Zambales, thanked DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo for coordinating with his team.
