'Oh My Korona' star Pooh feels blessed with showbiz projects despite the pandemic

Known for his iconic punch lines and hilarious acting skits, it's no wonder that Pooh has become one of the most successful stand-up comedians in the industry.
At the recent media conference with Cignal Entertainment, stars from Oh My Korona, Sing Galing Regular, Sing Galing Kids, and Suntok Sa Buwan gathered at Provenciano Restaurant in Quezon City to celebrate the grand finale of their respective shows.
Becoming one of the main characters in the comedy sitcom "Oh My Korona," Pooh shares how thankful he is to be part of the first season of the show and its upcoming second season.
"Yung sa season 2 kasi parang hindi pa namin alam kung kailan mag-iistart kung meron bang kasunod, pero kinakasaya namin is maganda yung kinalabasan ng season 1 at nagustuhan ng mga tao," he says.
(Regarding season 2, we still don't have any idea when it will start or if it will have a follow-up, but what makes us happy right now is season 1 turned out fine, and the audience liked it).

Joining him is his co-star Jessie Salvador who plays CJ on the show. Since getting back on several projects, Pooh also shared that he misses doing live shows.
"Yun ang sobra kong namimiss, sa katanuyan meron akong sing-along bar sa karuhatan, valenzuela. Pero hindi muna ako sumasampa kasi hinahayaan ko muna yung mga bago, hinahayaan ko muna sila ang magshine," he adds.
(That's what I miss the most. I do have a sing-along bar in Karuhatan, Valenzuela. But I don't go on stage, because I let the new ones first, I let them shine)
Aside from his projects, the comedian is also thankful for all his close friends who helped and checked on him during the pandemic, although he got a little emotional when talking about another iconic comedian and one of his close friends Chokoleit.
"Namimiss ko si Chokoleit, sobrang namimiss ko pero hindi para sumunod ako ha! Kasi si Chowky yung huhubugin ka niya maging strong," he also says. (Carissa Alcantara)
