DOH reports 8,004 new Covid-19 cases in the past week


The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Nov. 21 a total of 8,004 new Covid-19 cases during the past week.

In its weekly case bulletin, DOH said that the daily average cases are now at 1,143, which is 12 percent lower than the cases from Nov. 7 to 13. It also recorded two additional cases tagged under severe and critical cases.

Currently, there are 568 severe and critical admissions which are 9.4 percent of Covid-19 admissions.

On the other hand, 493 or 20.9 percent out of 2,358 of Intensive Care Unit beds are being used while 4,796 or 23.1 percent out of 20,754 non-ICU beds are being used.

Meanwhile, 93 deaths due to Covid-19 were also recorded.

Of the 93 deaths, 28 occurred in November 2022, one in October 2022, one in March 2022, four in February 2022, 10 in January 2022, one in December 2021, eight in October 2021, 14 in September 2021, seven in August 2021, two in July 2021, two in June 2021, five in May 2021, four in April 2021, four in March 2021, one in February 2021, and one in September 2020.

In terms of vaccination, DOH recorded 73,707,875 fully-vaccinated individuals and 20,866,539 individuals have received boosters or additional doses.
