A victory for the HD Spikers or a loss in five sets in their 2:30 p.m. confrontation with the Flying Titans would earn them the last Final Four ticket.

The Flying Titans, meanwhile, needed to prevail in three or four sets to advance and join early semifinalists Creamline, Chery Tiggo and Petro Gazz.

Cignal totes a 4-3 record with 10 points at fourth, while Choco Mucho trails 3-4 with 9 points.

Also at 3-4 is F2 Logistics, which tangles with Petro Gazz at 5:30 p.m. But even a victory for the Cargo Movers would still not be enough to earn them a semis seat since they are behind on points with 8 – no thanks to back-to-back losses to also-ran Akari and Cignal, both in four sets.

That leaves Choco Mucho with a chance to ruin Cignal’s semis aspirations, determined to also regain its bearings from a 15-25, 25-20, 25-20, 28-28 defeat to sister team Creamline last Thursday.

Import Odina Aliyeva, who missed the last match due to health concerns, is expected to return for the Flying Titans to team up once again with Kat Tolentino and Des Cheng at the forefront with Jem Ferrer, Cherry Nunag and Bea De Leon also set to step up.

Cignal, for its part, is using its crucial 25-21, 20-25, 25-14, 25-20 triumph over F2 Logistics over the weekend as a motivation to move further with Ces Molina, Angeli Araneta, Gel Cayuna and Tai Bierria leading its charge.
