Two of three suspects in P30 M robbery in Tuguegarao nabbed in Enrile town through GPS tracker
CAGAYAN -- Two of the three suspects who allegedly robbed a businessman's house in Brgy. San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, were arrested via GPS (Global Positioning System) tracker on Sunday, Nov. 20, a police report said.
A report from the Police Regional Office 2 stated that Harky Pepito and Andres Gascuan were arrested at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Roxas St., Brgy 4, Enrile, Cagayan.
The suspects were arrested by joint personnel of Cagayan Police Provincial Office (CPPO) led by Colonel Julio Gorospe Jr., Officer-in-charge of CPPO, Tuguegarao City Police, and Enrile Police.
The Dela Cruz family assisted the Philippine National Police through GPS phone tracking. The cooperation led the pursuing police to locate the suspects in Brgy. 4, Enrile, Cagayan.
Based on the testimony of the victims' housemaids, around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, when three men entered their house by climbing the fence and forcibly entered the screen door of the house.
According to reports, robbers were holding guns and knives and threatened the victims.
Assorted jewelry worth P25 million, P3000 cash money, and $10,000, and Iphones were carted away by the suspects.
The suspects also took away the victim's Toyota Fortuner as they fled. The car was recovered on Mallig Highway in Isabela.
The other suspect is still at large and is the subject of a manhunt operation.
