Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla has revealed his plans for the holidays, saying his family has always been simple in celebrating Christmas.

"Kami naman simple lang. We just invite our friends sa bahay. Ganun lang naman kami tuwing Pasko. Basta kumpleto dapat kami. And then may time naman magcelebrate kila Kathryn (Bernardo) nagkikita kami. Simpleng-simple lang talaga kami mag celebrate. At gusto ko talaga ganun lang. Importante sa akin may Christmas tree rin kami," said Daniel during his launch as the first Filipino celebrity endorser for Mossimo, a popular clothing brand, held in Quezon City on Saturday, Nov. 19.

(We are simple. We just invite our friends to the house. That's how we are every Christmas. As long as we have to be complete. And then I have time to celebrate with Kathryn (Bernardo). We celebrate really simply. And I really want that. It's important to me that we also have a Christmas tree.)

Daniel, star of the hit TV series "2 Good 2 Be True," said he's honored to be chosen as the first Filipino celebrity endorser for the  American brand founded in 1986.

"I'm very happy and very honored na akong first celebrity endorser ng Mossimo. I want to thank Mossimo. Napakabuti ng mga tao behind Mossimo. I would like to work with good people. That's one of the reasons kaya I chose to work with Mossimo," he said.

Asked if there's a pressure in being the first celebrity endorser for Mossimo, Daniel commented: "Wala naman. I'm excited but not pressured. I guess kinuha nila ako for being myself. I'll just work with them and be myself. I'm just excited."

Hours prior to the launch of his endorsement, Daniel attended the opening of the Mossimo concept store at SM North EDSA in Quezon City.

"It was wild kasi everyone was so excited to go out. Bumabalik na yung mga nga events and kanina, everyone was just excited na magkita-kita lahat ng personal. Pero siyempre hindi pa rin puwedeng mawala yung safety natin and everyone was wearing masks. Ma-miss ko rin yung pakiramdam na yun na makita uli yung mga tao," he said.

(It was wild because everyone was so excited to go out. The events are coming back and earlier, everyone was just excited to meet everyone in person. But of course we still can't lose our safety and everyone was wearing masks. I will also miss that feeling of seeing people again.)

Daniel, 27, also recalled his initial meetings with the executives of Mossimo.

"First time kaming nag-meeting sa Makati. Ang sarap ng usapan namin and doon ko na feel na I belong to this brand. Open talaga sila sa akin. May mga binigay pa silang line ng damit kung ano ang gusto kong piliin. Doon pa lang nag-jibe na yung connection namin. Harmonious ang relationship namin kasi alam na namin ang gusto namin sa isa't isa. Kahit saan naman di ba? Basta masaya ang working environment mo mag-eenjoy ka," he said. "The group is very creative and naka-plano na lahat ng gagawin until next year."

(It was the first time we had a meeting in Makati. We had a good conversation and that's when I felt that I belonged to this brand. They were really open to me. They even gave me a clothing line of what I wanted to choose. Our relationship is harmonious because we know what we want from each other. As long as your working environment is happy, you'll enjoy it," he said. "The group is very creative and everything is planned until next year.)

He added: "Isa pa, open talaga sila sa akin for collaboration. Importante sa akin yun. Ayoko talaga yung minsan kukunin ako tapos babaguhin yung napag-usapan namin. That's why nagustuhan ko yung offer ng Mossimo and I got very excited na."

(One more thing, they are really open to me for collaboration. That's important to me. I really don't want to be hired and then change what we talked about. That's why I liked Mossimo's offer and I got very excited.)

Adamson Bactat, President of Mossimo Philippines, said: "I'm happy to see everyone here. Happy because we are slowly going back to normal. We're proud and excited to announce that Mr. Daniel Padilla as Mossimo's first celebrity endorser. We are happy to share with DJ the different vibes of Mossimo starting with the happy vibe and the upcoming Mossimo-DJ collaboration. So this is gonna be an exciting journey."

We are very happy and thankful. Parang ito na ang Christmas gift namin sa inyong lahat."

Daniel also thanked the fans for the success of "2 Good 2 Be True" which aired its finale last Nov. 11. "Ang saya ng journey ng '2 Good To Be True' kasi noong nagsimula kami, hindi namin alam ang pupuntahan ng show namin. Kung tatanggapin ba ng mga tao yung show namin because it's been a while since gumagawa kami ni Kathryn ng shows. Hindi na namin alam if it's gonna work. I'm just thankful and blessed na tinanggap ng mga tao yung show namin not because andun kami ni Kathryn kundi talagang pinaghirapan yung show. We have a beautiful cast and ang saya saya ng cast namin. I think isa sa recipe yun bakit naging successful ang show. I would also like to thank our directors. Next time again."

(The joy of the journey of '2 Good To Be True' is because when we started, we didn't know where our show was going. Will people accept our show because it's been a while since Kathryn and I have been doing shows. We don't know if it's gonna work. I'm just thankful and blessed that people accepted our show not because Kathryn and I were there but we really worked hard for the show. We have a beautiful cast and our cast is fun. I think That's one of the reasons why the show was successful. I would also like to thank our directors. Next time again.)
