Roman Catholics will mark on Sunday, Nov. 20, the Solemnity of the Christ the King, the last Sunday of the Catholic Church’s liturgical year.

The feast signals the observance of the following Sunday, Nov. 27, as the First Sunday of Advent in preparation for Christmas Day.
In all Catholic churches across the country, the Blessed Sacrament will be carried in solemn religious processions, followed by the prayer of benediction and the consecration to Christ the King.
The Act of Reparation and the Act of Dedication to Christ the King will also be prayed during the mass.
At the Christ the King Parish in Greenmeadows, Quezon City, Cubao Bishop Honesto F. Ongtioco will preside over the fiesta high mass at 5 p.m.
Feast masses will also be celebrated at 6 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 noon, and at 6:30 p.m. The Holy Hour and Eucharistic Procession will be observed at 3 p.m. at the White Plains Chapel. Novena prayers and holy masses in anticipation of the solemnity were held from Nov. 11 to 19 at 6 p.m.
With the ease of Covid-19 restrictions, more people are expected to attend the holy masses this year. The Church continues to remind the faithful to still be mindful of the health protocols.
