'Shabu' lab raids prove PBBM is 'dead serious' in drug war--Barbers
The President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is bent on continuing the tough anti-llegal drug stance of the previous administration.

Thus, said Surigao del Norte 2nd district Rep. Robert Ace Barbers in reaction to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents' discovery and raid of two 'shabu' laboratories inside Ayala Alabang Village.
“The relentless campaign by our law enforcement authorities against these illegal drugs prove that the BBM (Marcos) administration is dead serious in continuing the crusade to free our country from the menace of this evil that destroys our families and society," said Barbers, who chairs the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs.
The veteran solon congratulated PDEA Officer-in-charge Gregorio Pimentel for a “job well done”, and thanked him for immediately apprehending suspects.
He urged him to conduct follow up operations and find out how the precursors of this illegal drug managed to get inside the country.
“Shabu cannot be manufactured in large-scale quantities without the needed precursors that can only be imported. Thus, we have to look at the trail by which these precursors managed to evade our border controls,” Barbers said.
Marcos has said several times before and after his election as president during the May 2022 polls that he would continue the previous Duterte administration's tough stance against illegal drugs.
