ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power), this city’s sole electricity distributor, has implemented another power rate increase, the second in three months.

MORE Power announced on Friday, Nov. 18, a P2.1842 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) uptick, from 12.48 per kWh in September to P14.66 per kWh in November, because of the increase in generation and transmission charges.
Customers were advised to conserve energy to save money.
“MORE Power advises consumers to be smart in their electric power consumption to minimize their electricity bills,” MORE Power said in a statement.
“With this increase, we assure our consumers that we are continuously looking for alternative generation sources to help bring down the rates in the coming months,” it added.
MORE Power said that generation charges and transmission charges are directly paid to its different suppliers as well as the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) which delivers power from different sources.
