Gardener yields shabu, guns in Batangas raid


PADRE GARCIA, Batangas – Police arrested a 29-year-old gardener after he yielded suspected shabu valued at P836,000 and guns during a raid in Barangay Bukal here on Friday, Nov. 18.

Batangas Police Provincial Office director Col. Pedro Soliba identified the suspect as Marco Amparo, a resident of Barangay Bukal.

Seized from Amparo were shabu with an estimated weight of 123 grams worth P836,400, two air gun rifles, two replicas of caliber 9mm, a caliber .38 revolver, four calibre .38 bullets.38, and a plastic tooter.

The operation in the suspect’s house at 8 a.m. was covered by a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 87 in Rosario, Batangas for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

Police said that Amparo has a pending case for illegal drugs in Quezon.
