Major Ritchie Gohee, head of Police Station 4, said the baby was placed inside a small plastic container sealed in a plastic box wrapped in an eco bag.

He said that a city personnel deployed at the cemetery discovered the body. However, the employee was not able to see who might have left the baby.

Gohee said they could not determine if the baby died during birth or was left there alive and later passed away.

Authorities decided to bury the baby at the cemetery after he was blessed by a priest.
