3 members of K-pop group Stray Kids get Covid-19 anew; South Korea logs 50,589 new cases in one day
Three members of K-pop boy band Stray Kids have tested positive for Covid-19 again with South Korea recording more than 50,000 new cases in one day.
In an announcement, JYP Entertainment, Stray Kids’ agency, said that members Lee Know, Han and Seungmin got Covid-19.


“We inform you that Stray Kids members Lee Know, Han, and Seungmin tested positive for Covid-19 on November 19th (Sat),” the agency said.
It added, “After exhibiting light symptoms of a cold on November 18th (Fri), Lee Know and Han took Covid-19 self-test kits and tested positive. The members immediately visited a hospital that day to receive PCR tests, and Lee Know, Han, and Seungmin received positive results today.”
“All members of Stray Kids have received their third doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and Lee Know, Han, and Seungmin are following governmental guidelines by being quarantined and in separate living spaces from the other members,” it said.
The agency said, “The five members excluding Lee Know, Han, and Seungmin have aII received PCR tests or rapid antigen testing by medical professionals and have tested negative. All members will continue to focus on personal hygiene and monitor their health.”
As a result, Lee Know will not participate on the TV music show “Music Core” on Nov. 19.
The three members tested positive for Covid-19 before. Han and Seungmin were diagnosed with Covid-19 in March while Lee Know got the virus while in the US in July.
On Nov. 19, South Korea recorded 50,589 new Covid-19 cases, up from 49,418 new cases tallied on Nov. 18.
In the past seven days from Nov. 13 to 19, South Korea recorded an average of 52,437 new cases per day to bring the total confirmed cases to 26.5 million since 2020.
