Procopio Lipana appointed MMDA GM; other appointees take oath
President Marcos has appointed Procopio Lipana as general manager of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Lipana, who will replace Baltazar Melgar in the position, was among those appointed by the President for a new post in appointment papers signed recently.
Meanwhile, Frisco San Juan Jr. has been designated deputy chairman of the agency.
Lipana and San Juan Jr. took their oath before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Friday, according to the Office of the Executive Secretary.
Joining them during the ceremony were Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director General Virgilio Lazo and Deputy Pierre Bucsit, who were also newly appointed to their positions.
