Pasay LGU offers discount to early birds in real property tax payment

The Pasay City government is offering 15 percent discount to those who will pay in advance their real property tax based on City Ordinance No.6233.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said she asked the City Council to pass and approve an ordinance extending the grant of 15% discount for the advance payment of real property tax if they paid on or before Nov. 2.

Rubiano said coordination with the City Council was made for the extension of the 15% discount since October 31 falls on a holiday.

She said the city government also offers 10 percent discount for prompt payment or made in full or quarterly during the year or advanced payment made from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 of the current year 2022 for the real property taxes for the ensuing year or years.

The mayor said the announcement was made to encourage tax payers to settle their annual tax obligations.
