Mayor Along leads Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Caloocan City Hall
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Caloocan City Hall (South) - Commercial Complex on Friday, Nov. 18, to start the city’s celebration of the holiday season.
I just want to remind everyone that the true spirit of Christmas is the birth of our Lord, our love for our neighbors, and especially the care we give to our friends, loved ones and fellow citizens),” Malapitan told the city hall employees and residents.
The Christmas lights and other decorations at the City Hall (South) - Commercial Complex were also lit during the event.
This is my first Christmas as Caloocan City mayor, so I thank those who have worked with us so we can have a good celebration for this coming Christmas),” Malapitan said.
The semi-finals of a Christmas singing competition among city hall employees were also held on Friday.
The city government said that in line with the celebration of Christmas, the national government’s “Kadiwa sa Pasko” program that provides a platform for Filipino merchants to sell their goods and provide low-cost products for the buyers, will be launched at the Caloocan City Hall (South) on Nov. 25.
