Army headquarters in Fort Bonifacio hit by fire


A fire razed one of the buildings at the Philippine Army (PA) Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City early morning Friday, Nov. 18.

Initial report said the fire occurred inside the compound of the Army Signal Regiment along Lawton Avenue at 9:37 a.m.

Photos and videos circulating on social media showed many firetrucks responded to put out the fire. The incident caused heavy traffic along Lawton Avenue going to McKinley, Taguig City.

As of writing, other details of the incident have yet to be disclosed. The PA has yet to issue an official statement.

Back in July, the headquarters of the Army's 6th Infantry Division (6ID) in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao and 4th Infantry Division (4ID) in Cagayan de Oro City were also hit by separate fire incidents.

A blaze also occured at the personnel barracks of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Service (CEISSAFP) at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City in September.
