The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) Philippine Chapter has recently received the 2021 outstanding chapter award from the world’s largest percussion organization PAS at the PAS International Convention in the US.
PAS Philippine Chapter, a small organization, made a significant impact on the community of drummers and percussionists worldwide, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic when the music industry was greatly affected.

According to Saturnino Tiamson Jr, the president of PAS Philippine Chapter, the award sums up their hard work and is bonded by their dedication and passion for music.

"This award would not have been possible without the contribution of each of our members, guest artists, followers and supporters and of course my fellow officers. We, as a team, dedicate this award to all our fellow Filipino drummers and percussionists and upcoming ones too, Filipino musicians, and to all PAS members around the world," he said.
The group vowed to continue inspiring, educating, and supporting percussionists and drummers in the world.
