QC gov't sends relief aid to residents affected by 'Paeng' in Roxas City, Capiz
The Quezon City government, through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) and Social Services Development Department (SSDD), has sent relief aid to the residents affected by tropical storm “Paeng” in Roxas City, Capiz.
The Quezon City government told Manila Bulletin on Thursday, Nov. 17, that it has distributed 1,500 food packs, 100 jerry cans or water containers, 2,000 hygiene kits, and 6,000 Covid-19 kits to the residents as of Wednesday, Nov. 16.
Members of the DRRMC and SSDD went to Roxas City on Tuesday, Nov. 15, it added.
It said the local government of Roxas City is the one who identified the barangays that are severely affected by “Paeng” and whose families are in need of the relief goods.
Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas and Vice Mayor Teresa Almabis thanked Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and the QC government for sending help to their residents.
“Hangad namin ang tuloy-tuloy na pagbangon ng mga residente ng Roxas City at ng mga Capiznon mula sa matinding pinsala na idinulot ng bagyo (We wish for the continuous recovery of the residents of Roxas City and the Capiznons from the severe damage caused by the storm),” the city government said.
