One killed, four injured in truck-tricycle collision in Pangasinan

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan -- A woman died while four others were injured when a truck laden with chickens and a tricycle collided at national road in Barangay Poblacion in this town on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. when the tricycle suddenly made a left turn near the intersection between B. Aquino Street and Rizal Avenue, according to a report from Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Zarate Jr.

The truck driven by Emmanuel Ragasa and with two passengers collided with the black tricycle driven by Orlando Ortegero with his wife, Magdalena Ortegero, as his passenger.

Victim Magdalena was declared dead on arrival in hospital while the husband was injured.

The truck driver and two passengers were trapped inside the truck and injured.
