Talent Manager Nay Lolit Solis is very vocal about her twice a week dialysis sessions on her instagram account. (naku salve!)She seems to be in good shape. She leaves her house every now and then to meet friends and as far as I know, she is still the Undisputed Harbat Queen! (gusto ko maging princess!) In one of her dialysis sessions, she thought of sending me, showbiz scribes Salve Asis, Gorgy Rula, Rose Garcia and Vinia Vivar to Korea. (as in aligaga sya sa pag-aayos kahit di naman sya makakasama!) But since we didn’t have the liberty of time to arrange our requirements (actually sila lang, ako ready to go na!) we ended up booking a flight to Bangkok Thailand. (na kahit ilang beses mo na napuntahan may effect parin!) This is how Nay Lolit expresses her love for us: “may talak pero pang international!” (actually salingkit lang ako pero nakapasok sa finals!)
Actor-Councilor Alfred Vargas was supposed part of the trip (dapat nga roommates kami!) but he had to attend to previous commitments. (thank you bro ha!) But we had the chance to meet one of Nay Lolit’s rich friends who was also in Bangkok for vacation, Ms. Lynette (with her bff Ms. Kukay! ) who exerted extra efforts to make our nightly meals memorable. (as in dinaig ang feeding program!)
Thousands of tourists visit Bangkok lately because it has removed its COVID-19 restrictions. Filipinos who plan to visit this country only need their usual plane tickets, travel insurance, hotel accommodations and passport. It doesn’t require the vaccination card or certificate. (pero iready mo na rin para sure!)
If you are taking Philippine Airlines, you will be required to wear face mask on board but as you reach Bangkok, face masks are voluntary except on buses and trains. Although I noticed that majority of people in the city still have their face masks even in outdoor settings. (keri na rin day!)
Food, shopping and temples are the usual highlights of Bangkok vacation. (with unlimited pictorial of course!) But for my dedicated showbiz journalists-companions (wow may dedikasyon ba talaga?!, they brought their laptops and allotted time daily to meet their deadlines. (di ko kinakaya yung naghahabol ng column habang ako nagmamaganda lang!)
Bangkok is one of my favorite places in Asia. It has this energy that gives you good vibes. (bet na bet ko rin dyan mga Thai artworks!) No wonder it was still an exciting and fun visit especially that it is the first international travel after almost three years of not leaving Manila due to the pandemic. (Balita ko may susunod pa raw pa-fly si Madame Lolit!)
