Pangasinan 3rd District Rep. Rachel Arenas wasn’t expecting anything when she went to Malacañang on her birthday on Tuesday, Nov. 15, but what she got was a surprise birthday cake from no other than President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

The lawmaker posted a photo of her being given the cake while the President looked on and appeared to be clapping.
“Thank you for the surprise birthday cake, Mr. President Bongbong Marcos, and to my fellow lady legislators! Kabog ang birthday ko dahil po sa surpresa niyong cake (My birthday was incredible because of your surprise cake),” she wrote on Facebook.
Addressing her followers who greeted her on the comments section of her posts, Arenas said she has been reading all their messages and comments.
“To all who sent me birthday wishes, thank you so much for thinking of me!,” her post read.
“And to our Lord Jesus Christ and Mama Mary, thank you so much for another year of good health, abundant love, and another year to serve my countrymen! (thankful, heart emoji),” she added.
Earlier, Arenas also posted a photo of her inside a vehicle. She was wearing a white terno with butterfly sleeves.

“OTW (On the way) to Malacañang Palace. Sakto baka may konting salo-salo doon, 'yun na lang po ang handa natin today (There might be some food there, that’s our feast for today!! (laughing, red heart emojis),” she said.
