Businesswoman nabbed in Benguet buy-bust for selling illegal drugs

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet -- A businesswoman is now in jail after she was caught possessing shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Benguet Provincial Police Office in Barangay Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The arrested businesswoman was identified as Jay Anne Ceriaco Alindayo, 29, a resident of Dominican, Baguio City.

The raiders found a plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 2.5 grams with a Standard Drug Price DP of P17,000 as she allegedly transacted with a poseur-buyer in the buy-bust operation.

Col. Damian Olsim, provincial director of BPPO, said the operation that led to the arrest of the suspect was done in the presence of Prosecutor Elnora Mangallay and Barangay Kagawad Walter Angway of Brgy. Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Also recovered from the suspect were two more plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 7.5 grams with a value of P34,000 and the boodle money.
